Noel is a content contributor at Argus Asset Management. Born in Los Angeles, but raised in Louisiana, Noel has great experiences which align with the goals and objectives of the Argus team. Noel attended Centenary College of Louisiana, earning his bachelor's degree in Psychology. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While there, he was Vice President of the Energy & Mineral Law Society, Graduate Editor of the Journal of Civil Law Studies, member of the International Law Society, and member of the Energy Law & Policy Program completing his seminar thesis: The Clean Power Plan.

In France, he studied Comparative International Law at Universite Jean Moulin (Lyon III). There, he completed a comparative study on Civil and Common Law Jurisdictions.

Noel worked in the Louisiana Court of Appeal, First Circuit, before clerking in a litigation firm gaining experience in Insurance Law and Government Compliance. He then made the jump to working on Asset Development Management and client-facing activities on behalf of Chevron. He comes to us with experience:

  • Drafting Subsurface Easements
  • Transactional Work, including: Chain/Color of Title
  • Managing Chevron base operation assets in the Texas Permian Basin and Rangely field of Colorado
  • Contract Negotiation
  • Regulatory Compliance WRT leaseholds
  • Government and outside counsel collaboration (Texas and Colorado regulatory authorities)
  • Property owner contract negotiation for land profit rights
  • Collaborating with field operation teams of Engineers and Geologists to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations

Noel has over six years of experience in Corporate Asset Management working with both corporate in-house counsel and landowners to facilitate a collaborative environment and ensure that partnerships are carefully executed from origination to term end.

In his spare time, Noel enjoys skating, surfing, playing the guitar, making new friends, and spending time with his family.
